I’m looking for a new tv and for the price (around 2000-3000) I can’t decide between a 37″ lcd or a 42″ plasma. Too many conflicting opinions around about optimal viewing distance. It switches off whilst watching and goes to the samsung start up screen and then goes back onto the channel I was watching. It was a PC World re-conditioned one and is only 6 months old.
