Actually, at present there are no HD channels in India. But, this year there will be release of HD channels in India. See this link http://www.indiantelevision.com/headline…
On a HDTV, you can have the utmost pleasure of experiencing the picture, color, contrast. Standard definition DVDs look better, if you’ve a up-scaling DVD player (a player which upscale standard definition dvds look as HD picture). But, the main drawback for HDTVs is standard definition programmes won’t look better when compared with SDTV as this one stretches the picture to fit it to the screen. Moreover, the price of HDTVs is still high and it could get down once HD channels and Blu-ray players as well as Blu-ray Discs are released in India. Then it would be better to buy a HDTV. The distance you’ve mentioned is optimum for 46″ TV and make sure that when you buy a HDTV, buy a TV which has Full HD capability. Your screen size is optimum and look good when you play Blu-ray movies and watch HD channels on a full HD screen.
Be prepared for standard def. programming to look worse than it did on your other TV because it will be stretched more.
DVD movies won’t look that much better unless you have an upgrade player or an xbox. I wouldn’t spend that much money if you can’t get the programming, I was shocked at how poor standard programming looked at first. The bigger the TV the worse it looks.
Its a good idea i mean it would be better. So what if there aren’t HD channels. If you re getting it in good price then its worth it!
No problem,I am having one.
If you have an xbox it is
Def. better we have a 47 in Samsung and the movies we play are awesome. I would say yes because it’s great. Enjoy!
