Bad Quality Of Tatasky On Lcd. Tv?

hi all..have just purchased 42″ philips lcd tv..while dvd thru component cables output is awsome, i am not at all getting same picture quality on tata sky…there is no sharpness in image at all..since the tata box doesnot have component out ports and no svideo port, any idea how to improve picture quality? my viewing distance is approx 11 feets
No channel in India is HD. So even if the TV is HD, its not getting an HD signal.
DVD content in India is superior to Tatasky. Even if your DVD player is an old one, the content will look better than the tatasky. If you have an upconverting DVD player, it’s all the more better.
You can however improve the overall picture quality by adjusting your display. Use a THX optimizer from THX DVD’s
or a dedicated disc like Avia or Digital Video Essentials to fine tune your TV.
