Ack, definately avoid Polaroid. Seriously, I’ve heard terrifying reviews regarding picture quality. Samsung is not such a great brand either as far as reliability. I work at an electronics store, and we tried dealing with Samsung for a short time, but we had way too many problems with their sets. I’ve honestly not heard much regarding Syntax-Brillian, but I’d definately want to see one first. The Sony Bravia 32″ XBR set is Sony’s top of the line LCD set, and I’m sure it would outlast any of those 3 you mentioned. It will cost a bit more initially, so you might consider the base model Bravia instead, but the investment will pay off as you definately get what you pay for in consumer electronics.
I would check out samsclub.com the have good deals. But stick with the samsung, but look for a 1080p insted of 720p
