I have a sd dvr now and kinda dont want to spend another 199 after I just went out and bought a 42″ hd lcd tv.

you could……but consider this, …the e-bay seller may owe a balance when they disconnected and Directv wont activate until the account is clear, you ll have also spent $20.00 on a replacement access card, the dish you have now may need to replaced, only a 5 lnb slimline dish can be used for HD programming. This is a ka/ku band dish so unless you have the right meter it cant be peaked, Directv wont install your hardware but a local independent retailer will for about $65.00 an hour plus material, you could switch to Dish Network for free, if you are out of your commitment with Directv, they have far better DVRs anyways. What ever way you go, it will be worth it, even for $199. make sure to get the receiver number from the seller and verify its re-deployment with Directv before bidding. avoid the older DVRs with Tivo they are the best ones but do not support mpeg 4, this is the most run-on sentence / all over the place answer ive ever given. ,,,congratulations
