Do I Need A Hd Box In Order For Me To Have My Games Look Crisper On My Hd Tv?

So i recently bought an LG 32″ lcd hd tv and i hooked up my 360 and ps3, and right now, they are all jaggy in graphics but look “decent” from a far. So in other words, if i get an hdmi cable and connect it from my 360 to my hd tv, will i get crisper graphics without some form of hd box?

The HDbox is irrelevant. The best picture you will get will be from the 360/PS3 to the TV.
Some things that could be causing the game to look bad could be the TV picture settings, the maximum output that the games that will actually display (you can find that out by looking on the back of the game case), or you haven’t configured the picture settings correctly in the gaming console menu.
