How Big Of A Tv (lcd Or Plasma Or Hdtv) Can I Get? What Size?

I know TVs are measured on the diagonal, but I am having the hardest time getting a concrete answer. Our TV unit measures:
42 wide
32 tall
20 deep
52 diagonal
What is the largest size tv that will fit? 46, 48, 50, 52?
This is a present for my husband, so I want it to be perfect!
Thank you for your help :)

I think to be safe better get 46 because the size really differs between manufacturer. Some have a bigger deep size, and some don’t and some have an extra space for built-in speakers and some don’t. So, what I can suggest is for you to bring along a measuring tape to the shop and measure the TV using it based on your required sizes.

it depends on the frame size of the tv, i think if you get a 42 or 46 inch samsung lcd tv it should work. go into a tv shop such as panasonic and ask them, they will know the exact size of the tvs including the frame on the tv.
    HOPE THIS HELPS :-D
