It is a 42 inch LCD HD TV that has a burn in image in the right lower corner. Yes this is a LCD TV not a plasma.

  1. A Well Lit Garden says:

Unfortunately, there is not much that you can do. LCD HDTVs do NOT have built-in utilities to help wash out a retained image.
Retained images are usually caused by a polarization of the LCD crystals, though in rare cases you can have unequal aging of an LCD screen. Leave the TV off for as much time as the image was left on the screen. Try to run a white screen or gray screen DVD utility. Raising the temperature of the LCD screen can also help.
