In reading your question I gather you want the output of the tv to go through your receiver. You will need to connect on of the line- out from your tv to the stereo line-in, by the best possible method. Your tv may have three outputs for audio. one- if it has fiber optic output that would be the best way to connect to your stereo IF your stereo has a fiber optic input. two-if your tv has a coax digital output (looks like a rca connector) and your stereo has that type of input that would be the second option. 3- if your tv has rca outputs (red/white) you would connect those to your stereo at any of the inputs EXCEPT phono/mmc/lp (these are for turntables/record players) you can use aux/tv/cd/ whatever input. Now that you’ve done that you need to go into the tv setup and enable the line-out feature under audio options where it has the choice for speakers/audio out. Then you change the stereo input to whatever you plugged the tv audio cables to and you should hear the sound.
