i wanna get rid of my monitor and my giant tube tv. so if i just got this 32 tv it has a component in port, would i just be able to plug it in and use it as the monitor?… or would i need a better graphics card then i have now i have a nvidia geforce 6150SE its my on board card so i could always get a better one if needed

When you get a flat-panel HDTV, just make sure the one you are buying has a PC input (otherwise known as a VGA port).
Most flat-panel LCD HDTVs have it, and you can connect it directly to your 6150SE’s VGA port using a standard VGA monitor cable.
No need to futz around with component.
yes, the tv can work as a monitor, and not sure if it will work with that card. I’m sure it’ll have the hookups, I’m just not sure if that card will hit that resolution.
The TV is going to need a VGA, DVI, or HDMI port on it.
I am also guessing you computer is a Compaq Presario SR5710F? Am I right???
The 6150SE only has a VGA port as far as I know so you need a TV with VGA.
Most new HDTV’s come with PC in (VGA & HDMI).
Graphics card should be alright as long as the connectors match on the TV and from your computer.
