I’m looking at a Sharp LCD 42″ 1080p tv with a native contrast ratio of 1200:1. Is this alright? Also it says it has a 6ms response time. What does this mean and is it an alright spec. Any help would be appreciated

NO that is not a good contrast for a tv that size! I would atleast get one with 5000:1 contrast! 6ms response time is VERY good. Response time means how long it takes to go from where the person was standing to the place the person moved to. The faster the response time the less motion blur you will experience! hope this helps :)

Depends what your going to be using it for. I got 2 Sharp Aquos LCD TV’s a 32″ and a 52″. I use them for gaming HD TV and movies. I dont have alot of light in my rooms, but love my aqous. The 52″ is 1080p as well but I think you will be satified for the quality of the TV and the price.
