    Hi Ju,
Modern TV’s tend to do this when there is a fault present. It’s basically a feature designed to prevent further damage, overheating etc.
Unfortunately, a lot of TV’s will do this even if it’s a simple fault such as picture mis alignment. The only way to tell is to contact the company whom you bought if from and ask them who services the products they sell.
If it’s out of warranty (Which would probably be 12 months) you’ll probably be charged a call out fee by the service company, expect to pay around £40.
Bear in mind you can easily buy a new ‘Branded’ 32″ LCD for around £300 – £350 at the moment from the likes of Comet and Curry’s. Failing that, go to your local Independent Electical retailer. You’ll pay a bit more, but Sony, Panasonic and Sharp are offering free 5 year guarantees at the moment, which means you won’t have to pay a penny if it breaks down in within the next 5 years.
To find your local Independent dealer, there’s a couple of sites you can use: -
    http://www.retra.co.uk
    http://www.euronics.co.uk
Independents quite often offer free delivery, installation and will pick up your old LCD for recycling. Comet for example charges £30 for delivery, £10 for basic installation and £13 to recycle your old TV.
    Have a nice day
    Boris
