Reciever Delays Audio From Tv?

Ok, so my wife and I just bought a new 42″ Insignia LCD tv. When I play a DVD or anything through my Pioneer receiver, the receiver’s audio is just a split second behind the audio on the TV. It wasn’t that way when it was plugged into our older TV though. What could it be? I think I have everything hooked up correctly, but may have missed something I guess? What would cause this? It really has me stumped as I can usually figure stuff like this out. Thanks in advance.

This is fairly common. Are you connecting the video via the receiver, or directly to the TV? If directly, this is the cause of the apparent delay.
