I have around 800bucks to spend on a TV and find either these two options to spend on…a 42″ 720p Plasma TV and a 32″ 1080p LCD TV. Which would you recommend. I watch a lot of sports and use my ps3 a lot…if that helps

I Have A 42 Inch 1080p Lcd Tv And I Cant Get My Screen Resolution On My Pc To Go Beyond 1600×1024 Black Screen

I have a Nvidia fx 5500 graphics card, and I’m using a 42 inch full 1080 p tv max resolution 1920×1080 as my monitor. when I set the resolution above 1600×1024 the screen goes black and reverts back to last setting. I have tried bumping up refresh rate to 85 hertz but it dosent help.
