ok so in my home we hav ein the living room one of those tvs they sold about 3 years ago that have like a projection or somtehing and they have a bulb inside them. you know what imean? they told us it was an lcd at the time but now they tell us its somethign else. anyway, that tv was beautiuful. still us. and our old crt tv’s with the help of convertre box also have flawless pictures.
but i felt it was time to upgrade to a nice big tv. i wanted one just like the living room tv. oh thats a beautiful flawless picture. everyeon told me, for a 32 inch tv, you dont need 1080 i, just 720 p. i looked at various sets and they seemed all right i guess. but i wanst really impressed. i thought well it will just have to do.
now i have moved thsi 32″ set into my room. and i sit about 4 or 5 feet away from it. but it hurts my eyes! its so hard on my eyes to watch it. i used to sit about 2 feet away from the 42″ tv and it never hurt my eyes. this LCD and many others i’ve seen in teh store, have a fuzzish picture and they make your eyes hurt to watch them. the quality on the LCDs i was looking at is scarcely better than analog.

it only looks good in when it plays shows in 1080 i. i noticed this on many other tvs that were more expenisve than this one. why are 720 LCD tv’s worse than analog when the broadcast is not in 1080 i?

I have a samsung 32 inch LCD tv. I connected my computer to it via dvi. Media centre looks great but I cant get any other program to look good as for the resolution is under 1280×720. does anyone now any drivers i can use or anything else that can help?

we have checked online and the manuals and even called magnavox ! We need help! Is there anyway to hook up the surround sound to the television with out the optical cables so that the sound works for tv channels(digital antenna not cable box or satelitte just directly connected with a coaxcable), our ps3 ( hooked up with hdmi cables), and the dvd player(hooked up through the avi1slot. The problem is that it works fine with the dvd player but how can we hook it up where we can get sound for everything? There is no optical cable spot on the dvd player but there is on the tv. It is the only audio out besides the normal avi1,2,3 and the 2 hdmi ports. You cant play the sound from the ps3 or the tv channels unless it is just through the tv since you have to switch the source to get to the audio on the dvd player surround sound. Any suggestions would help ! I really dont have the option of ugrading our surround sound we just bought this one and cant take it back very disappointed it didnt have the optical port on the back only the rca type connections.

So i recently bought an LG 32″ lcd hd tv and i hooked up my 360 and ps3, and right now, they are all jaggy in graphics but look “decent” from a far. So in other words, if i get an hdmi cable and connect it from my 360 to my hd tv, will i get crisper graphics without some form of hd box?

As Far as I know it may not be HDCP compliant.I have cable and I getting a HDTV,DVR cable box.My question is if it’s not HDCP compliant…..Will I still be able to view or see my HI Def picture after 2010?

The input selection boxes on my 42″ westinghouse are being burned into the screen. I have a large box in the upper right corner that shows through on bright backgrounds and the smaller box in the top middle that says “No signal detected”. I am wondering if there is any fix to this or can I get it fixed under warranty? I have only owned the TV for 10 months.
