Why Does My Lcd Tv Heat Up?

I have a 32 inch LCD TV. When i watch tv using the RF connection, it’s fine. Whatever I connect to the higher outputs, like 1080i, it seems to heat up and shut down. Why is this happening, and how can I remedy it?
