i have a 32 inch lcd tv.
i was playing playstation on it and all of a sudden the tv turned off.
when i turned it on again i had sound but no picture,
whats wrong!?!?!?

Well, I read that if I wanted to enjoy the best Full HD experience, I should buy a 42″ TV or bigger to enjoy the 1080p resolution. I bought the LCD 46″ Samsung LN46B640, but I read now that a Plasma looks better in resolution than a LCD, if it is 40 inches or bigger, and the problem is that I would like to have a great TV for movies, and for video games.
So, is it true that a Plasma is better than a LCD if it is bigger than 42 inches?
Should I return the LCD TV and get a Plasma TV instead?

I have a Niko OTP-3211W 32″ Lcd Tv… After like 30 minutes to an hour of use, it turns to green pixilations, and sometimes the picture turns to all different colors…Once it’s off for like an hour it’s back to normal then does it again. I looked and found by removing the grill off the fan might help, but, not sure….. Help!

I have a Westinghouse TV that is having some problems(i have had for almost 2 years). On certain colors (mostly red or white) i am having some pixels that aren’t working right. On white for example certain parts of the screen are showing a blue, and when there is red on the screen that is meant to be still it will like have some spotty stuff moving(still shows blue pixels).
That is the best way i can describe it lol.
I am just wondering if my tv is dieing or can i fix this in some way.

I have had a Sony Bravia 32″ LCD tv for about a year now, and its worked great. But yesterday when I turned it on, the Sony logo drags white lines across the screen, and everything including the TV menu ghosts horribly in a red hue. Also, the entire screen is much darker. Any ideas?

Inverter!
When a LCD has sound but no picture…it’s the inverter! The inverter is what helps power the backlights. Usually what happens is one or more capacitors will go bad, causing the inverter to not work…thus no backlighting!
If it’s still under warranty, contact Vizio!
If not, then the cheapest thing to do is to remove the inverter board from the TV and take that to a repair shop to have them replace the bad components. The inverter is part of the power supply and connects the lamps to the power supply. And the power supply is located at the back of the TV where the power cord goes into. You’ll need to remove the back panel of the TV! All that should be holding the inverter board on is a couple of screws and a wire harness.

There are various inputs on the back or side of the Tv. You will usually see labels such as HDMI 1 or Component 1, PC, etc. You have to connect something to the input (cable box, DVD player, computer, etc) and then you have to switch the input on the TV to the input you have connected to. Look for a button on the TV or the remote labeled input. Keep switching it until you get to the input you are using.
