Using Lcd Tv As Monitor?

I just bought a 32″ LCD TV to use as a computer monitor. I have hooked up the DVI cable from the TV to the computer, but the tv does not seem to be getting any signal. Any ideas??
if u have on the lcd the vga input,or a scart outpot from ur video card,and it won`t e a probblem..
maybe u will have to setup the resolution on ur pc and after that chech the line in on ur tv..i think if u use the vga inpot,it will go to component 1 and will show you a pc
First compare the parameters of the Video Card versus the TV. Many times the TV will not respond to anything but the proper signal. My Accounting CPU has an old ATI9600 via HDMI going into a Sony 40″ Widescreen CRT. It looks great.
BUT! Many times the TV will NOT show anything at the BIOS screen of the CPU. So if the CPU is stopping at the BIOS it will NOT SHOW! Try connecting to the TV and a monitor AT THE SAME TIME! Then use the Video Cards software routine to change over from CPU to TV. Be sure the TV is set to the same output as the HDMI signal. THEN it will boot all the way through.
Remember that the CPU SHOULD always come up with at least (1) visible display IF the monitor is connected properly.
