Using Tv As Monitor, How Can I Make The Display Smaller?

I have a 32″ LCD TV I just bought to use as a monitor. I hooked up my Dell laptop to the TV using VGA cable, but the display is way too big. The screen resolution only gives me 3 options between 800×600 and 1360×768 pixels…any help changing the display smaller would be much appreciated.

  1. aviating says:

1360×768 is the best resolution to use with your LCD TV, because that is its native resolution. If you want the letters to look smaller, you will have to decrease the font size or something.
