What Are The Best Picture Settings For A Vizio 42″ Lcd Tv?

I bought a Vizio 42″ LCD tv. I wasn’t sure if I should leave the picture settings at the default setting. I was wondering if anyone has found the best picture setting for this type of tv.
Generally, the factory defaults are the best for the 90th percentile of TV viewers. I prefer a little less “picture” or “contrast” than the manufacturers have. They have those settings pretty high to make the picture “pop” when in the showroom. I think it’s too vivid.
