I have narrowed down my tv search to a Toshiba 37″ LCD for $565 and a Dell 32″ for $360 (both are used, thats why the good price) Assuming both work perfectly, anyone have any opinion on which brand would be better? I have little knowledge about TV’s. Thanks for your help in advance!

The difference is in QUALITY. Toshiba is a quality LCD. Dell is pretty much a third tier or junk TV. “Cheap” and “quality” are mutually exclusive. If your choice is between these 2, get the Toshiba!!! Buying a used TV is dicey, but that isn’t your question.

You will make a good choice with either…

I would go for the Toshiba, since it’s a better brand and a bigger screen. The prices are decent, so either choice would be good.
