What Resolution Is Needed To Fill The Entire Screen Of A Vizio 42″ 1080p Lcd Tv?

I’m creating a photo slide show that will be displayed on a Vizio 42″ 1080P LCD TV (I don’t know the exact model since I haven’t seen it yet, it was recently purchased from Costco) and I want the pictures to fill the entire screen. Right now, I created the photos in Photoshop using standard 1080P (1920 x 1080) resolution. Will I need to adjust the resolution for the display to correctly display the photos?
All the 42″ vizios have a 42.2″ diagonal and a 16:9 ratio.

  1. TV Tech 1 says:

1080 will fill the entire screen.

  2. Mouse says:

I assume you will be using a Laptop hooked up to your TV for your slide show presentation. The TV will show your Laptop screen as it appears on your Laptop.
I hook my Laptop to my TV All the time and shows the exact screen that appears on my Laptop.
    Hope this helps,
