I’m planning on buying a 32″ hdtv. Well my option was panasonic lx80 but I’ve read in some forums that plasma tvs have better picture quality compared to lcd panels. I’m planning on using this on ps3 gaming, movie watching and as pc monitor. So anybody could please help me regarding this? And could please someone explain it by having the pros, cons and explanation. Thanks!

That small, it makes no real sense to get Plasma.
LCD is the only economical option.
I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Plasma is said to have a better picture quality, but the way LCD is advancing it’d be hard to tell. Try standing in an electronic store and point out the plasmas from LCDs. You could hardly tell.
Plasma – Better picture quality, but LCD isn’t too bad either.
LCD – Tends to be cheaper.
Personally, I prefer LCD. I heard plasmas are more expensive to fix.
They are both wonderful. The plasma has more trouble attaining a true “black” black which makes some scenes look funny. The LCD has trouble with things which move fast- there is a blur. But those are tiny complaints.
The main consideration is that 10% of all plasma’s need a major repair in their first year. LCD’s require 20%. That is discouraging. It does not bode well for these sets to last for 20 years like the old tv’s used to..
