Why Is My 32 Inch Lcd Tv Blurry??

Hi, I own a panasonic TC-32X20 and I really just want it for ragular television viewing not HD. The TV is connected by a regular red, white, yellow cable to the cable box. I previously had it connected to the black cable chord and it looked terrible so I switched and it looks better. That being said it is still pretty blurry and pixelized looking. I just want to know why? and is there anything I can do to get a better picture besides getting HD? The DVD’s on my regular coby dvd player look so crisp and awesome on it though (no blurryness or pixels at all)?? Thanks.

Does your cable box support S-Video or Component video output? Component video includes a red, blue and green set of cables and replaces the yellow composite cable. Use either of these and you’ll see an even greater improvement in your picture quality.
The problem is that you’re sending the TV a low (or standard) definition signal and the television must artificially enlarge the image in order to fill the entire screen. In other words, it’s trying to display picture detail that isn’t actually there which is why it doesn’t look very good.
On a side note, your cable box may have its own video output settings that can be set to improve picture performance. For example it may ask if your TV is 4:3 or 16:9 (widescreen), and it may possibly support progressive output through component video which would be preferred.
You’ve mislaid your glasses haven’t you.
You need to use the in-coming coax cable from outside, connect it to
” cable-in” on the cable box, then , using another piece of coax ( with connectors on it), connect one end to Cable -out on Cable box to ” Cable-in ” on TV. The DVD should be connected to the TV with component cables, not composite(red, white, yellow) The ones you need are ” red, blue & green )
Shame shame….LOW DEF.
It’ll look that way until you get HD….but you’ll get used to it…
Everybody does.
